Impressionista Films

Commercial & Film Production Company

Zack Resnicoff

Impressionista Films was founded by Zack Resnicoff in 2009 in order to facilitate creation of his edgy commercial, branded, fashion and experiential work.

Zack is an alumnus of the NYU Graduate Film Program, where he studied under Spike Lee. He has produced and directed thousands hours of original content for Film, TV, and the Internet. Zack’s commercial career was born following an AICP award win and subsequent inclusion of his work in the Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection. Zack soon found himself on the roster of production company Radical Media, and then after honing his craft for a few years, he left to launch Impressionista Films.

Some of Impressionista’s recent clients include: Ford, SAB Miller, General Mills, Proctor & Gamble, Aquafina, Reebok, Timberland, Hugo Boss, L’Oreal, Avon, DKNY, Lexus, Sony Playstation, Macy’s, Fisher Price, ADP, Boehringer-Ingleheim, Eli Lilly, Sanofi, Regeneron, Merck, The CDC, Citibank, and Chase. Impressionista has created content for NBC, AMC, HBO, Disney, and Sony/RCA Records.

In 2019, Zack directed a Super Bowl spot for CBS Sports, and in 2026, he produced an epic Super Bowl spot for Boehringer Ingelheim featuring Sofia Vergara and Octavia Spencer.

Despite commercial work being his forte, Zack still has a love for narrative projects. His short film, “The Clearing,” which he wrote, directed, and photographed, won the Hamptons International Film Festival, and was an official selection of dozens of other film festivals world-wide. This foray into dark and edgy storytelling also led Zack to creating “The Chase,” a film with Hilary Duff and Norman Reedus. The film was part of the launch of Femme, Duff’s new clothing line for DKNY.

Zack and Impressionista have been written up in The New York Times, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, American Cinematographer, Boards, Shoot, and Creativity.
